 I don't know about you, but I love sequins!!  I originally wore this dress for New Year's Eve on 2019 (when none of us had a clue what 2020 was about to unleash) and it's been in my closet ever since, waiting for the right occasion to shine again... And here we are, the time has come!!

 I love to buy a new outfit for special occasions, but I never get it with the idea that is not going to be reworn. I may go a year or so without wearing it, but just when I have a last minute special event and suddenly "I don't have anything to wear" those "waiting" repeat outfits save the day.      The detail on the waist of the dress was created by nothing other than....drumroll please....a hair tie!! This dress fits nicely as a loose boxy style, however I wanted to add some character and decided to do this to the waist. Remember to be creative with your clothing. There are no rules in fashion; well technically there are. But the point is to have fun with your style!

It goes without saying, that a LBD (Little Black Dress) is a must for your wardrobe! A black dress is so versatile! Don't know what to wear? LBD.  Dress code unknown? LBD. I love everything about this dress; the turtle neck, the lace, the length and the bell sleeves. It has so much personality.

I chose to style it with a quilted black bag with gold accents and these golden/bronze and clear heeled sandals. You can style an LBD so many different ways by simply wearing it with booties, knee high boots, pumps and  by adding a touch of color with your accessories. Here, I was going for a more muted look, so I chose the black purse and shoes to coordinate with the accents on it.

7 Dress Ideas For This Holiday Season (Day 3)

This is one is of my favorite looks in this series. I love a gathered waist and small side cut outs; it's so neat this dress has both. The long sleeves are perfect to keep you warm this season and if you're going somewhere valet parking is an option, you may be able to get away with not wearing a coat.

Balance is so important in fashion. Although this dress shows some leg and a little bit of skin on my waist, there's plenty of coverage elsewhere. So as a result, the overall look of the dress is elegant, yet sexy.

If you must wear a coat; a great coat option for the holidays is Faux Fur Coat. This coat adds just the right amount of lux to my outfit. Faux Fur coats can also be styled with jeans and a cute top for a night out. So make sure you don't save it for special occasions only.
